Certified Tutor

Graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a major in Petroleum Engineering and a minor in Business, I am very passionate about translating the knowledge gained in various STEM subjects into enthusiasm by others for learning through facilitated techniques.

Throughout my four years in college, I have tutored students in Chemistry, Calculus, Physics, and other math- and science-related courses. In addition, I have also mentored young men in the Boy Scouts of America in obtaining survival skills such as orienteering, camping, lifesaving, and emergency preparedness.

Personally, the teaching style that I find most useful is a combination of understanding the students' learning approach through active listening/inquiring and displaying information in an effective manner for memorization and workflow.

While tutoring interests me on an academic level, I enjoy playing and watching sports like tennis, football, and basketball. Also, I like venturing the outdoors recently, I have backpacked through Europe and camped on national parks in Wyoming and Texas.

My main goal as a tutor is to inspire students to recognize their potential for utilizing straightforward methods to analyze and solve problems. By dissecting problems into its core components similar to those of previously worked problems, one can isolate the necessary information and creatively employ tested strategies to easily arrive to a solution.
