I would describe teaching as passion for enhancing learning in others. It's all about the dynamics of getting all that new information through students willing to obtain knowledge and develop skills. I believe that the teaching-learning experience should be fun. it's very rewarding when the time comes to see the results of all that hard work performed by both parties.

What is your teaching philosophy?
Doing what you like and sharing your knowledge and expertise with others...
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
Warm up with an icebreaker to test the student's abilities and knowledge on the subject of study. Go over specific needs, and create a plan of action to meet the goal!
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
By leading the student to use all the resources available on the Internet, and then practicing to master the concepts obtained in the process. There's always something that motivates us to do things well; the objective is to find what motivates the student to learn, and then use that to enhance learning.
How would you help a student stay motivated?
By showing the student how much he or she has accomplished during the process, and how much further we can go in exploring new ways to enhance learning.
If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?
As tutors, we have to be resourceful, find the weakness and enhance self-confidence in the student to achieve learning all those concepts. It's all in the hands of the tutor to get concepts through.
How do you help students who are struggling with reading comprehension?
First of all, we have to make sure they understand the context where the situation in the text is taking place, and then have them understand the terms used in the paragraph. Every word must be clear to them before attempting to ask any questions based on the reading.
What strategies have you found to be most successful when you start to work with a student?
Place yourself in the context of your student...
How would you help a student get excited/engaged with a subject that they are struggling in?
By enhancing self-confidence. Show the student what he is capable of based on his progress, and that he could go much further with dedication and resolution.
What techniques would you use to be sure that a student understands the material?
Have the student talk about it. Show examples based on what has been taught during the process.
How do you build a student's confidence in a subject?
By showing the student his own results after hours of hard work!
How do you evaluate a student's needs?
By having a conversation where he could feel free to express his primary objectives and concerns.
How do you adapt your tutoring to the student's needs?
That's done based on the student's learning pace. There's no need to rush; there is a need to reach a goal!
What types of materials do you typically use during a tutoring session?
Audio, video, flashcards, body language, drawings, pictures, markers, objects within the student's environment... everything helps!
