Hi, I'm Cindy and I am a second grade teacher. I received my B.A. in Elementary Education from Queens University of Charlotte and am currently working toward my M.Ed in Reading Instruction from Ball State University. When I'm not working, I enjoy watching movies, visiting museums, crafting, and traveling to new places!

For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to be a teacher. I have always enjoyed teaching and helping others succeed. As a teacher, this feeling of enjoyment in other's success continues. I believe one of the most important parts in teaching is creating a positive and supportive relationship with students. When students know that their teacher cares for them and is invested in their success, they are much more likely to produce quality work and take the time that is needed to learn. I am a creative person and I bring that with me when tutoring and teaching. Not every student learns the same way, so it is important to come to a tutoring session and be able to bring a variety of strategies. I also believe learning should be FUN! When students have fun while they're learning, they'll be more likely to remember the information.
