Hello, my name is Paige McMinn. I believe all students deserve the best opportunities so that each individual child has all the means to be successful. I am an adaptable person. I have found through my experiences that being adaptable is essential, I am able to change my plans when needed, I make sure that each of my students get what they need in order to be succeed as best they can. I am determined. Along with being conscientious, I feel as though I am very aware of the things around me and how they are changing, and how I am a part of the environment around me.
I am able to give a child the care and the guidance they need to become the best student to their ability. To start on the education path I began in high school teaching a dance class to preschoolers on the weekends, I quickly found out this is something that I loved doing so I started teaching an after school Religious Education program. During high school I went to the elementary school to be an aid in a first and second grade classroom. I enrolled in a college program for Early Education and Special Education, during this time in college I was hired at the local YMCA for the before and after school program. The director started to trust me with more responsibilities while I was there, such as running the before and after school programs, summer program, and teaching preschool. With a heavy heart I left my students and co-workers when I was offered a Special Education job in Bennington, Vermont, for the past two years I have taught Special Education in the Grades Kindergarten to Second grade.
