Certified Tutor

In June 2013, I completed my Master's Degree Programme in Linguistics and Web Technology at Philipps University Marburg, Germany. My course focuses on English Linguistics and applied Computer Science. More specifically, it involves a deep investigation in the areas of English Linguistics combined to the use of web development software and the application of modern technology for linguistics research and distance learning purposes.

My experience includes working as a trainer at the Northern Caribbean University of Mandeville, Jamaica. This was a good chance to discover my pleasure for teaching, as well to feel the great reward in helping people learning. I become aware of the responsibility of transmitting knowledge and meeting needs and expectations of learners of different age and socio-cultural background. In addition, I conducted a master research thesis on modern teaching methods and educational psychology as well. Therefore, I had the chance to develop a deep understanding of several strategies and techniques for enhancing student's motivation and combine both pleasure and effective knowledge acquisition. I firmly believe that education should be open and accessible to everyone and that it should be a pleasant, rewarding and interesting experience. Moreover, I have been tutoring students learning Italian as a second language, as well as English for one year. I am most passionate about the Italian literature, although I enjoy reading any novel. In my spare time, I love attending art exhibitions, especially those related to classical paintings, as well as I am very keen on practicing sports including running and swimming.
