I have degrees in Psychology and Nursing have much experience working with students of all ages. I have been working as a tutor in my community for over 10 years. I specialize working with international students, elementary students, and middle school students. I have taught English overseas in Korea in which I specialized in English conversation and essay writing skills. Due to my background education in psychology, this is always a favorite one to tutor. I am a person who will not only strive for the student's success, but also try to do so in a manner where the student is comfortable as well. My personality is laid back and down to earth with a cheerful mindset.

What is your teaching philosophy?
I am a friendly and down to earth person. I will do all that I can do for the student in order for the success of the student.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
I would get to know the student's interests, hobbies, and learning abilities.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
I would give different examples for the student to process after explaining a concept in order to see where the learning level is at that moment in time.
How would you help a student stay motivated?
I would connect different ideas together in order to keep the student motivated. Also, I would try to connect the student's interests into the issues presented to me.
If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?
I would assess where the student is having trouble particularly and then decide how to break the issue the student is having through explanation and problem solving.
