I have a B.A. and an M.A. in Mathematics from St. Louis University and have taught math classes from Pre-Algebra to Calculus. I have been a teacher at the high school and Junior College level for about 30 years and have worked with all types of students over that period. When working with a student in a one-on-one setting, if the student is having difficulties, I like to begin by observing them working on a problem or two, to help me get an idea of what they know and where they are having problems. We can then focus our attention on those areas to remedy the situation. Should the tutoring involved preparation for a quiz, test, or even the next section, we'll review the key concepts and necessary skills before tackling problems that might be expected. Personally, I enjoy professional sports (Blues, Cardinals and Rams), music, movies, TV, and theater. I look forward to working with you in the near future.
