Hey you! Thank you for stopping on my profile to learn a bit about me. I will try not to bore you with my life's events, so I'll begin my storytelling.

For as long as I can remember, I had an admiration of teachers, even before my father became one. When my dad became a math teacher, he used to let me help him grade his students' papers (as long as I had key). Soon after that I began seeing what it was like to be a teacher, such as lesson planning and teaching. I loved this weekly routine and felt like it was something that I can do for myself.

In high school, I thought my future plans changed to becoming a podiatric surgeon, but by my second or third semester in college, I felt a yearning desire, not just an admiration, to becoming an English teacher! So I quit studying biology and chemistry and went straight towards Communication and Creative Writing.

I attended CSN, NSC, and UNLV (to get my education as cheap as possible), and upon my graduation from UNLV my yearning to teach, in a way, EXPLODED! I was beyond anxious to meet my future high school students (I want to teach high school because of the maturity level of understanding complex skills that will be utilize in college)!!

Today, I am a seventh grade English Language Arts teacher at a middle school with a high percentage of English as a Second Language students, and I love every single day of it!! This is my second year teaching, and I guess you can say I'm still in this "honeymoon" stage of rarely wanting to be away from work. Even when I am away, I am always researching information to help improve my students' capability to learn.

So, what happened to my desire to teach high school? Well, since many assume that I'm younger than my actual age, I figure I can age a little before setting foot in high school (my tenth year high school reunion is 2015). So teaching high school Composition is in the near future.
