I am a career elementary school teachers with over 25 years experience in grades K-6. I received my BS in Elementary Education from the University of Denver and my MA ED from Lesley College.

In addition to teaching in multiple states within the United States, I spent 18 years teaching internationally. I feel that these experiences cultivated a great enthusiasm for learning. Exploring many cultures, ethnicities and unique individuals provides me with a broad foundation which I feel strengthens my ability to work with my students.

My enthusiasm and positive attitude are characteristics consistently mentioned by my administrators as well as peers. My teaching approach is very student centered and hands on. I am a confident communicator and value the opportunity to work closely with the family as well as the classroom teacher if applicable.

When I am not working as an educator I am usually involved with family. My four children, all in college or graduated, accompanied us during our years overseas and they are a fine testimony for our family values and love of education. They know to find me outdoors exercising, in a bookstore or library or in the kitchen if they are in need of support.
