Certified Tutor

I recently graduated from UT-San Antonio with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Biology. While at UTSA, I was a Supplemental Instruction Leader wherein I conducted weekly group study sessions for introductory psychology and cognitive psychology classes. I was also a research assistant in a neurobiology/biophysics laboratory for 2 years, giving me experience in communicating complex scientific ideas to both students and professional scientists in their respective fields.

I am currently a PhD student at UT-Dallas in Neuroscience and am a teaching assistant for UTD. As is probably evident from my profile, I have a passion for science. I am also very passionate about helping students understand scientific principals in simple, easy to understand terms, thereby allowing them to enjoy the subject and to reach whatever goals they have in their education. While I have experience in tutoring a wide range of subjects, I most enjoy tutoring biology, psychology and English composition.
