I have a PhD in Philosophy from Purdue University, and I have been working as a college professor for the last 20 years. I have extensive experience working one-on-one with students who have a variety backgrounds, learning styles, and abilities. Even though I have the qualifications to tutor many different subjects, I specialize in SAT preparation. I have chosen to focus exclusively on this particular test in an effort to provide you with the most sharply-focused, efficient, and effective private instruction available.

Getting a high score on the SAT requires more than just being good at Algebra, Geometry, Critical Reasoning, Writing, and Grammar. You also need strategies for taking the exam that will help earn you the most points possible. My goal is to give you personalized lessons that will increase your knowledge in the three basic subject areas of the test, help you to identify and deal with trap questions, and provide you with specific approaches to each type of test question that play to your personal strengths.
