Certified Tutor

I have a Bachelor's degree from the University of Arizona with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. I also have a Master's degree in teaching from the UofA. I have worked in laboratories, as an editor, and as a high school science teacher. I tutor Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and Math. Chemistry is my preferred subject (stoichiometry is fun!). My main goal in teaching and tutoring is to simplify concepts that initially seem difficult and to reduce frustration in math and science by building students' confidence in their problem-solving abilities. Math and science become much easier with individualized attention and instruction! Aside from teaching and learning, I enjoy reading, backpacking, horticulture, yoga, and Netflix.
