Certified Tutor

I'm a retired geophysicist who worked for 25 years in the oil industry with Chevron throughout the USA and Canada. I grew up in Montreal, Canada and graduated from the University of Western Ontario in a Geology-Geophysics combined program.

I have tutored elementary school through high school age children, primarily in maths and sciences both one on one and in classroom settings. I also developed and taught coursework at Chevron during my career to other professionals in my areas of expertise.

I have always enjoyed teaching and find that working with each student we can both learn new things together. I encourage my students to think creatively and to critically develop their own thought processes for each of us looks at the world in our own unique way. I try and make sessions very active, engaging and enjoyable - do not be surprised if we are up and moving around quite a bit as we learn and discuss material.
