Certified Tutor

Hello! My name is Claudia D Jacob and I would love to tutor in Mathematics! After Graduating from the Univeristy of Washington with a Degree in Mathematics I knew that one day I want to be a teacher. While I apply to graduate schools and find where I want my focus in education to be I want to continue helping students learn mathematics, and the way I find works best is by tutoring.
I have always loved Mathematics! I think one of the main problems in education today is the hatred that somehow is connected to math because it is hard. But I believe that while mathematics may seem difficult, it is because it is not broken down into small chunks enough. And that is where tutoring comes in! As a tutor I will try and break the art of mathematics down into small puzzles that only need brain power to fix. With this method it allows the student to learn how to solve a multitude of problems, not just one.
