I received my Bachelors of Science in Physics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in May 2011. I was a Teaching Assistant of a Physics course for two years while I was there. I basically helped teach the class by making sure the students understood what the professor was saying during the lectures. I believe that stripping down a problem to it's simplest explanation and then building from there is the best way to learn something completely.

I am a mechanical engineer with a masters degree. I enjoy teaching students of all levels. My approach towards teaching is to assist the students when they need help but let them make the mistake first so they can learn where they went wrong. I have traveled all around the world and feel my vast experience makes me a more relatable tutor. I've been tutoring throughout high school and college in a variety of core STEM and humanities courses, working in both a paid and volunteer capacity. Building a fundamental understanding of a subject in order to develop the flexibility to solve challenging, out-of-the box problems has always been my favorite way both to learn and to teach.Through my major, I've had the opportunity to integrate math, physics, chemistry, and biology in the context of medical innovation. I attended an advanced school that gave us the opportunity to take standardized tests meant for high schoolers three years earlier in middle school. Essentially, I finished high school before I ever began it.Because of that, high school was a series of AP and college courses.
