Hello! I'm a educator and visual artist with many years of experience teaching and tutoring high school and college students. I have a BA in Political Science from New College of Florida and a MFA in Photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design. While I'm a photographer by trade, I also have a passion for and expertise in Math and the Natural Sciences -- as well as French and Spanish, having studied and worked in both Paris and Central America. While I'm proficient now, I struggled with both languages early on, and understand the challenges of both starting a new language and in moving from a conversational to a more proficient level. I'm also available for ACT and SAT test prep -- and work especially well with students who are visual learners (though I have a wide range of materials and resources for all styles of learning!).

Hi everyone,My name is Dikshya. I am from Kathmandu, Nepal and I moved to New York to study Mathematics. I graduated from Manhattanville College with Honors in Mathematics and Economics. I have a great passion for learning as well as teaching. I have previously worked as a tutor for College level Calculus and Statistics. I enjoy tutoring because it also allows me to continually recall the subject matter and gives me a different perspective on the same subject matter each time. I am aspiring to pursue graduate program in Mathematical Finance in the following year. In my free time I like to do puzzles and watch tv!

Studying for all of this at once can be annoying. However, it can be fun if you let it. That doesn't mean it won't be work to master the topics BUT it means that it doesn't have to be painful.I spent my college career studying many topics. In undergrad, I minored in Computer Science and majored in Cinema Studies. Essentially, I love math and science but am also a very artistic person (and I really love film). To drive that home, my MFA is in Film Production. Both degrees were obtained from NYU. I received a 1550 on my SAT when it was out of 1600.My education career has been in the arts. I taught Editing at New York Film Academy and was the Chair of Post Production there as well. Throughout all of this, I have always kept my math and science skills sharp, mostly because I just love the subjects.

I am a graduate of Loyola University Chicago with an Honors BS in Biology and an Honors BA in French, and have been a tutor for years. Having worked in countries all over the world, I am comfortable working with a diverse range of people, regardless of their language fluency and subject expertise. Since graduating, I have been attending a post-bac program at the University of Toronto in intensive Spanish and Arabic, before continuing on to medical school. I have also been tutoring numerous subjects for over 10 years, including Math, French, and Biology. I truly believe that it is with individual attention helps maximize one's full potential. Tutoring has shown me that everyone has the ability to succeed with hard work and the right means of studying.

I graduated with Distinguished Honors and experience in a variety of leadership roles through several councils and clubs at my High School. I have experience tutoring a variety of math levels for the past two years. I believe that learning is something that should be made enjoyable and productive, and cannot wait to help you reach your educational goals.

I am a currently a high school mathematics teacher. I graduated from the University of Richmond majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing Analytics and a minor in Mathematics. I have worked with kids of all ages, ranging from elementary school to college students through various subjects. I have also worked extensively with special needs children, doing everything from teaching special education to one-on-one in-home mentoring. Through my experiences, I have continued to carry my passion for working with children and have developed my skills in making successful and individualized learning fun. Math, science and test prep are the subjects I'm particularly passionate about tutoring, as I've always loved those subjects myself. Additionally, I've worked extensively with adults on business skills, marketing and social media.

I have won numerous awards for academic achievement, beginning with acceptance into the competitive Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth program in middle school and, most recently, with an AP Scholar with Distinction Award. Outside of academia, I am interested in following sports, reading, and writing both for publishing and pleasure.
