Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in English Literature, as well as a minor in Environmental Conservation. I have worked with middle and high school students in the subjects of literature, English, and writing or essay editing. I enjoy teaching writing and editing the most as giving students the tools they need to succeed in their future endeavors is key to development. I am very open to discussing what works and what does not for a particular student. If the lesson is not exactly making an impact, then I will find a new approach for my students to try and understand the material. Reading fantasy and sci-fi is a huge passion of mine. I love to snowboard, surf, golf, watch football, and spend every second I can during the summer on the ocean. Tutoring for standardized tests is also an area of expertise for me specifically within the reading and writing sections of said exams.

Hobbies

In terms of my interests outside of the classroom I grew up playing football and sailing in High School. I am an avid snowboarder and surfer, and love to spend time in the mountains on the ocean. I love to read books (especially fantasy, sci fi, and history) and I love libraries. During the summer I golf most days and love to cook and try new foods.
