I have taught social studies and ELA for about seven years, developed widely-used teaching materials for both, and coached social studies and science teachers for several more. I've led classes in US and European history, as well as AP world history. I've also taught English, government, economics, human geography, and global contemporary issues. I've taught middle school, high school, and college students, as well as adults. I am flexible in my teaching and I enjoy helping students succeed. I'd be happy work with you to support your learning any way I can.

In all, I have 12 years of experience teaching and leading others in schools around the world, from United States (New Orleans and Washington, DC) to Madagascar, Guatemala, and Saudi Arabia. I also have a BA in English Language and Literature from the University of Chicago, an MA in history from George Washington University (with a focus on US History and the long Civil Rights Movement), and a doctoral degree in education (curriculum and instruction).
