Certified Tutor

I'm working towards a B.S. in Industrial Systems Engineering at Virginia Tech. Over the years, I've enjoyed deepening my academic experiences by earning an IB diploma, participating in several honor societies, and now becoming a member of Virginia Tech's Honors College. Through these experiences I've had many rewarding tutoring opportunities in a variety of subjects, but I especially enjoy helping students with French, English, and Writing. For three years I tutored middle and high school students in French Language and Culture through the French Honor Society. I was also trained through my highschool's Writing Center and spent two years helping high school students with their analytical and persuasive essays. My goal when tutoring is to help students understand their material while also improving their learning strategies, so I focus on finding a balance between working through examples and prompting the student with questions.
