Certified Tutor

I first began tutoring as a college student. Although I was studying History, I served as a Spanish tutor and loved seeing the students I helped become more confident and less frustrated. As a History student, I learned the importance of thorough research, storytelling, and effective communication. I want to help students who may feel overwhelmed or discouraged by the process of writing an essay, completing in-depth research, or constructing a thesis.

Upon graduating with my Bachelor's degree in History, I decided to pursue my passion for helping students bridge the gap from high school to college. I began working in undergraduate admissions while still pursuing several graduate-level courses in American History. I am happiest when I'm able to help, advise, and support; tutoring is another way to do exactly that!

I believe in being patient, compassionate, and a little humorous. I want to know what the student's goals are and work together to find the most effective, least frustrating way to get there. I even hope our time together might be, dare I say, KIND OF FUN!

In my spare time, I am an avid individual sports fan. I keep up with figure skating, gymnastics, and a little bit of tennis. You will also find me watching reality competition TV like Big Brother (my guilty pleasure), going to concerts, or tearing through a biography.
