I am a senior on Communication Studies, Global Communication, and Latinx Studies at Utah State University, this year 2018 will be my graduation day, about the end of the year. My experience working with people from multicultural background is wide. I worked as interpreter for the Center for Persons with Disabilities (CPD) at USU for five years. The cultural and social differences between American and Hispanic cultures were and are things that fascinate me as a student, individual, and learner of this life.

I am a native speaker of Spanish language, reason for which interacting with other cultures that have Spanish as its main language is fun. My understanding of Portuguese is good (reading and listening), although I still not speak or write it. The knowledge that comes from my three majors is something that brings great satisfaction to my life, since I am able to help others in multiple ways , such as, interpersonal communication with different cultures, in different languages, and environments. In these kind of circumstances having a multicultural background and experience working with conflicts are crucial factors to be able to navigate between cultures.

In this moment I am doing an internship at an elementary school helping students in their ESL classes. Also, I am working on my practicum from my Global Communication major at the English Language Center at Logan UT as a volunteer.

This new experience as tutor online is exciting. I look forward to see the results in my students lives.
