Hi, I am Nici. I am a PhD student at University of Washington, majoring in educational measurement and statistics, with a secondary specialization in multicultural education curriculums. I teach a broad range of topics related to math, statistics, English language test, and Mandarin.

I am highly proficient in math subjects from pre-algebra, geometry, calculus up through graduate-level statistics. For graduate-level statistics help, I am capable of running SPSS, R program, Mplus for data analysis. In terms of teaching, I can help you identify the problem context well, connect with your familiar knowledge, and solve the tricky puzzles through meta-method of problem-solving by summarizing patterns, avoiding misconceptions/pitfalls, and the solid mastery of concepts which will last for your future cognitive development.

As someone who works in education, I do not want my tutoring to be boring as merely boiled down to solving the problems. I want to teach you the 'way' and method of learning new knowledge as well. The skills of problem-solving, rather than the merely knowledge itself, to me is more important in determining your educational success.

My goal for tutoring is not only improve students' knowledge in the content area, I would love to help students feel confident and offer advices to be successful in the future.
