Certified Tutor

I am currently a doctoral student at UCI, with a focus on pollination ecology and floral chemical traits. Before grad school, I had a ten-year career as a teacher. After receiving my B.Sc. in Biology, I worked for two years as a substitute teacher in elementary and middle school classrooms, including special education. Then for two years I taught English as a Second Language in Seoul, South Korea, to ages from preschool to grade 8, and science for bilingual high school students. After that, I spent six years as an Arizona State-certified high school teacher for Biology, AP Biology, Earth Science, and Forensic Science. I have sponsored an after-school outdoor ecology club, organized class and club outings, and taken private tutor assignments. I love working with kids of all ages and abilities, and I believe the thrill of learning is one of the main spices of life.
