What is your teaching philosophy?

My teaching philosophy is to never give up and always to try your best.

What might you do in a typical first session with a student?

Show myself as a nice person.

How can you help a student become an independent learner?

By helping them think in ways never imagined before.

How would you help a student stay motivated?

Motivation is the key to success, and only by motivation were students able to fulfill their full potentials.

If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?

Explain the importance practice in real life and in school, ask if any concepts were confusing to him/her, and let them explain the way they understand a problem.

How do you help students who are struggling with reading comprehension?

I would, first of all, cheer them by noting that reading books can be very entertaining, engaging, and is known to increase the lifespan of individuals. To some people, reading comprehension can be a breeze, while for others it only takes a little more effort.

What strategies have you found to be most successful when you start to work with a student?

First of all, greet myself as a very happy and open person to my client. This not only makes them more confident about who they are speaking to but also more prone to ask about confusing subject questions they thought that were absurd or hard to grasp.

How would you help a student get excited/engaged with a subject that they are struggling in?

Very good question. I can relate to a subject I've hated and explain how overcoming your most hated subjects only builds your character and enjoy the subjects you love even more.

What techniques would you use to be sure that a student understands the material?

Ask the student how they interpret the material, and let them know if it's accurate.

How do you build a student's confidence in a subject?

I can always relate to my own failures and explain to them that only by rigor was I able to achieve the things I've achieved.

How do you evaluate a student's needs?

By noting their strengths and weaknesses. By knowing the source to them, they can be resolved.

How do you adapt your tutoring to the student's needs?

First thing is the visualization. I have to present the material in a very organized manner and without any errors. By representing myself as a professional, the client can learn that I'm good enough to help them.

What types of materials do you typically use during a tutoring session?

I would use crayons, boards, and visual animations to explain confusing concepts.
