I started tutoring as an undergrad at Hofstra University. It was at this early stage that I discovered that I have a gift for inspiring curiosity , promoting critical thought and building knowledge. It is no surprise to my family and friends that I am in my 12th year of teaching. During my 12 years as a full-time teacher I have written several curriculums which includes a World History curriculum for 9th and 10th grades and an African American History curriculum. I taught Social Studies for 8 years in Washington DC, worked as Science teacher in Montgomery County and currently I teach a Government/Homeland Security Course in the College and Career readiness program in Prince George's County Public Schools. I am a certified teacher and I hold a Masters degree in history. I am very passionate about education and I have a plethora of pedagogical strategies to help my students understand the content. I believe that everyone learns differently and can achieve at very high levels. I approach tutoring with enthusiasm and thought. I am prepared and professional and completely awesome:)
