I am 31 years old and working as an engineering analyst in an oil company. I am passionate in teaching mathematics and physics to high school kids. I received a Ph.D. degree from Rice University. I have helped many undergraduate students during my graduate studies at Rice University. My teaching philosophy is to emphasize more on learning the basic concepts and train the kids to solve the problems independently.

What is your teaching philosophy?
Explain the concepts first and make sure the student has clearly understood the concepts before getting into solving problems.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
Gauge the capabilities of the student and develop a plan that suits them the best.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
I believe that making them learn the basics will help them become an independent learner.
