Teaching for me is a passion, not a profession. I believe that all children can be taught no matter what the problem or situation they may face. My goal as a teacher is to reach them by any means necessary. The children I instruct inside and outside the classroom are more diverse with each passing school year. The way one child may learn information is different from another. I realize that, as a teacher, I have to keep learning just as I want my students to do. My plan is to use different instructional strategies in order to make learning accessible to each individual child. I plan lessons and activities that not only keep them engaged but to also challenge their way of thinking in order to master the skill being taught.

I am currently in my sixth year of teaching. I obtained my undergraduate and graduate degree from Georgia State University. The undergraduate degree is in the area of early childhood education with a dual certification in special education. My masters' degree is in behavior and learning disabilities. I currently attend the University of Georgia to obtain a specialist degree in mathematical education.

I currently tutor elementary and middle grades math and reading, phonics, Pre-Algebra, and Algebra I. I also have experience in different types of test prep such as SSAT and ISEE. My favorite subject to teach is math. I enjoy teaching math because of the challenge it presents to students who learn it and the teacher trying to instruct them. It allows for critical thinking and problem solving which can enhances the educational experience as a whole.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my children, playing sports, and traveling to new places. I love listening to all types of music and enjoying the arts.
