Certified Tutor

Teaching is my passion -- I consider myself first and foremost an educator. I've taught children, adults, high school and college students, as well as graduate students. My main teaching experience is with college students, but I enjoy the challenges of working with all levels of learning. I earned my Ph.D. from Georgetown University in German Studies in 2012, and my MA from the University of Chicago in the Humanities. My main areas of expertise are in German and English language and literature, including an emphasis on writing, reading, speaking, and listening comprehension, as well as essay writing at all levels. I've taught at Georgetown University for seven years, and presently teach at the German Language School of Washington, DC as well. Previously, I taught at the George Washington University, in addition to overseas, teaching English language and culture, as well as advanced essay writing, in Austria and Germany. As a tutor, I look forward to helping students achieve their goals!
