Certified Tutor

I earned my Bachelor's degree in English, double major Creative Writing and Literature, from Florida State University. At the same time, I completed my Journalism studies at Florida A& M University. I have specified certification in Grammar and Punctuation.

I've worked the instructor role for many years. I've tutored students from early childhood to adult education. My tenure as a substitute teacher has placed me amongst students in all grade levels. Such experience serves as great advantage on my part; I've adopted various curriculum and teaching methods, so I have an assortment of material to offer my students.

However, my attributes exceed beyond my degrees. Above everything else, I am a Writer. I write for work. I write for fun. I have devoted years of schooling, and continuous studying, to mastering the written word and all the mechanics involved.

I know grammar. I know punctuation. I know syntax and structure. I also know that these are not strong points for everyone. And that's why I'm here... to help you!

As much as I enjoy what I do, I get as much satisfaction in bringing someone else along for the ride. Whether you're a student needing help for an exam, or looking for overall subject improvement, I'm the one you want on your team.

My BEST attribute as a tutor is that I know both sides of the coin:

As an instructor, I know everyone doesn't learn the same. My PRIORITY is to learn your most effective learning style... and run with that! I think out the box and welcome any suggestions; whatever it takes, I'm all in.
