About Me
I am passionate about helping students find their strengths in the STEM disciplines. My personal background is in infectious disease ecology. I study how aspects of animals and their environments influence the distribution of infectious diseases in wildlife. I use a variety of tools such as mathematical modeling, laboratory experiments, and field work to do my science, and I love teaching those concepts to students.
Hobbies & Interests
Outside of teaching, I play the fiddle in an old-time string band in Atlanta, GA. I love traditional folk music and the community building that it facilitates, and my music community is the best! I am also a rockhound. I love to collect rocks and minerals and polish them into jewelry.
