As a Yale University student studying Global Affairs, U.S. Department of State NSLI-Y scholarship recipient, and graduate of a Chinese immersion program, I bring firsthand experience in both Mandarin and the college admissions process. My Mandarin lessons are rooted in Chinese character construction and linguistics, helping students understand patterns instead of relying on memorization. I also mentor students through college admissions, specializing in essay writing, application strategy, interviews, and extracurricular development. Essays were the strongest part of my own application, helping me earn admission to Yale, Columbia, the University of Michigan, and Middlebury as a test-optional applicant, along with likely letters from Columbia and the University of Notre Dame.
