I believe the English Language Arts classroom is a space where students learn not only how to read and write, but how to think critically, communicate clearly, and understand both themselves and the world around them. As a secondary ELA teacher, my goal is to empower students to become confident readers, purposeful writers, and thoughtful participants in academic and civic conversations.

An avid reader, I enjoy everything from fiction and folklore to scientific research, history, and webcomics, manga, and manhwa. I’m learning pottery, enjoy plants, and love spending time with my kids.
