About Me

As a passionate educator with a Master's in Writing from Columbia College Chicago and a Master's in Library Science, I have over a decade of library and research experience with additional experience teaching writing to first-year college students. My specialties include AP English Language and Composition, AP English Literature and Composition, Creative Writing, Academic and Analytic essays. I strive to foster a supportive learning environment that encourages students to express themselves and develop critical thinking skills. I believe in tailoring my approach to meet individual needs, utilizing engaging methodologies that connect literary concepts to students' interests. My goal is to empower each student to find their unique voice and excel academically. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy writing fiction and poetry, which further enriches my teaching practice and inspires my students.
