About Me
I am a graduate student at Columbia University pursuing a Master's in Biostatistics and Public Health Data Science, with a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering from UC Berkeley. I am passionate about helping students master complex subjects, including Algebra, Precalculus, Geometry, Calculus, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics. With over two years of tutoring experience working with middle school, high school, and college students, as well as experience at Kumon, I create a supportive learning environment where students feel empowered to ask questions and explore concepts deeply. My approach emphasizes clear communication and tailored strategies that adapt to each student's learning style, helping them build confidence and achieve academic success. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy reading and staying up to date with the latest developments in science, which continually enriches my teaching and fuels my passion for learning.
Hobbies & Interests
Outside of tutoring, I enjoy exploring the latest developments in science and technology, from breakthroughs in genetics to advances in artificial intelligence. I love reading both popular science and academic articles, which allows me to bring real-world examples into tutoring sessions and make abstract concepts more tangible. I’m also passionate about hands-on projects and experiments, whether it’s coding small programs, building models, or conducting simple chemistry demonstrations at home, which helps me connect theory with practical application. In addition, I enjoy problem-solving games, puzzles, and logic challenges, which not only keep my own skills sharp but also inspire creative ways to engage students during lessons.
