About Me
As a passionate educator with a Doctorate in Geography and Urban Planning from the University of Arizona, I have about 5 years of experience teaching both high school and college students. I have presented and published about a dozen research articles. My specialties include Human Geography, US History, GIS and related topics, and essay writing, where I emphasize the importance of structure and clarity in student work. I believe in active learning methodologies, engaging students through discussions, role plays, and collaborative projects to foster an engaging learning environment. Witnessing students grow and overcome challenges motivates me deeply, as I find joy in helping them connect complex ideas to real-world applications. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy writing and exploring the intersections of geography and history, which enriches my teaching and inspires my students to appreciate the subjects in new ways.
Hobbies & Interests
I love photography and hiking, which make an excellent pair. The Arizona landscape provides me with rich opportunities to catch stunning scenery, especially the world-class sunsets here. I love to go hiking or biking with my family, or try new recipes. I'm very passionate about writing, and have several projects awaiting my attention.
