About Me

I am a graduate of Walden University, where I earned my PhD in Psychology with a concentration in Social Psychology. I also hold an MS and BS in Psychology. With over 25 years of professional experience in software engineering and a longstanding commitment to mental health education, I bring a unique interdisciplinary approach to tutoring that blends analytical thinking with deep empathy and real-world expertise. I've worked with students of all ages, from middle school to adult learners, across a variety of subjects including psychology, writing, computer science, and web development. I'm especially passionate about tutoring psychology because it empowers students to better understand themselves and others, and I enjoy helping learners connect abstract concepts to their lived experiences. I also love teaching programming and technology, guiding students through problem-solving strategies and real-world applications that build both confidence and competence. My tutoring style is highly adaptive and student-centered. I focus on identifying individual strengths, challenges, and goals to create learning plans that are both personalized and empowering. Outside of academia, I'm an active mental health advocate, a father of neurodivergent children, and a volunteer speaker with several national organizations.
