With 16 years of experience in education, I have dedicated my career to creating inclusive, supportive learning environments that cater to the diverse needs of all students. My journey has taken me through roles as a classroom teacher at both the elementary and high school levels in general education, self-contained special education, and interrelated special education. Now, as a Student Support Facilitator overseeing the Special Education department at my high school, I continue to advocate for and implement best practices to ensure student success. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Family, Child, and Consumer Sciences from Florida State University, a Master's in Special Education from Grand Canyon University, and a Specialist degree in Special Education from the University of West Georgia. This academic foundation, combined with my extensive hands-on experience, has reinforced my strong belief that all students can learnwe just have to teach them in the method best suited for their learning style. I am committed to fostering an environment where students feel supported, valued, and capable of success. Through differentiated instruction, data-driven strategies, and a collaborative approach with educators and families, I strive to create meaningful learning experiences that empower students to reach their full potential. As an educator and leader, my mission is to be an advocate, mentor, and guide, ensuring that students with diverse learning needs receive the support and resources necessary to thrive.
