  • As an aspiring educator and future speech-language pathologist, I am deeply passionate about supporting children in their learning journeys.
  • I have learned that effective teaching is not one-size-fits-all; it requires adaptability, empathy, and patience.

About Me

Currently working as a substitute teacher, I have had the privilege of stepping into a variety of classrooms and seeing firsthand how different teaching styles, environments, and approaches can impact a child's educational experience. This exposure has fueled my desire to further my education and ultimately pursue a career in speech pathology, where I hope to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children by helping them overcome communication barriers. My time as a substitute teacher has been invaluable in shaping my understanding of how diverse student needs are, both in terms of academic and emotional support. Whether it is a child struggling with reading, a student who needs extra help with social skills, or a class with varied learning levels, I have consistently worked to engage each student in ways that foster both their intellectual and personal growth. I am inspired by the small, incremental successes each child achieves, and this motivates me to continue honing my skills in education. While I have found deep fulfillment in the classroom, my interest in speech pathology emerged from my observation of how speech and communication challenges can profoundly affect a child's ability to succeed academically and socially. I am driven by the belief that all children, regardless of their challenges, should have the opportunity to express themselves, understand others, and fully engage in the learning process. Through my work as a substitute teacher, I've witnessed firsthand how speech and language difficulties can create roadblocks to academic success and peer relationships. This has sparked my desire to not only help children learn but to empower them with the communication tools they need to thrive in all aspects of life. I am excited about the opportunity to be part of a tutor program where I can continue developing my skills in education while also gaining more insight into how specialized programs, such as speech therapy, support children with diverse needs. This program aligns with my goal of combining a strong foundation in teaching with the specialized knowledge I plan to gain in speech pathology, ensuring that I can offer students a holistic approach to learning and growth. I believe that by making a difference in how children communicate, I can help create lasting positive impacts in their academic journeys and beyond. Ultimately, my goal is to earn a Master's degree in Speech Pathology and become a professional who not only helps children overcome speech and language challenges but also advocates for their broader needs in educational settings. I am committed to making a difference, one child at a time, and I am eager to further develop my skills as an educator and speech pathologist through this program.

Hobbies & Interests

I have a variety of interests that contribute to my personal growth and well-being. Reading is one of my greatest passions, as it allows me to explore new ideas, stay informed about educational trends, and fuel my creativity. I believe that reading can inspire a lifelong love of learning, and I strive to share that enthusiasm with the children I work with. Additionally, I find great joy in spending time in nature, whether it’s hiking in the mountains or walking my dog. These activities help me unwind and reflect, and they remind me of the importance of balance in both work and life. Practicing yoga and Pilates is another way I maintain physical and mental wellness, helping me to stay grounded, focused, and resilient. These personal interests not only nurture my well-being but also inform my approach to teaching and caring for children, as they help me cultivate patience, mindfulness, and empathy.
