My goal as a tutor is to impress upon my students a love of wisdom: To know how to think and learn what is best to think about. I have extensive experience helping students achieve their academic goals. I have tutored many high school students and undergrads pursuing degrees in literature, philosophy and theology. My goal is to identify the way my students learn and tailor lessons that appeal to their unique interests to build a bridge to the subjects they want to master. I have a bachelor's in philosophy from UVU, and I am currently pursuing a doctorate in systematic theology at Notre Dame. Additionally, I have a license to teach English Literature in secondary education and have worked in the film industry as a script doctor and screenwriter. I currently tutor all things related to English literature in secondary education (including test prep and essay development) Philosophical Ethics, Religious Studies (with an emphasis on medieval scholastics and biblical hermeneutics), Social Sciences, Social Studies, Adult Literacy, Filmmaking (especially screenwriting and directing), and the Performing Arts. My passion is making challenging ideas engaging and helping students find success in their academic pursuits. When I'm not studying, I love playing the guitar in an amateur pop band, making YouTube videos, writing essays, short stories, screenplays, and poetry.
