About Me

I have degrees in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Neuroscience, and Secondary Science Education, variously from the University of Toledo and the University of Michigan. I've been teaching and tutoring science for about 20 years, at the high school and the college levels. Subjects I've taught include chemistry, physics, biology, and earth science. In addition, I have co-authored a college general chemistry textbook. My particular joy is in teaching chemistry. Chemistry builds from one topic to another, and seeing students make those leaps that build their knowledge during a session is special. In general, all sciences stack similar building blocks of understanding in this same way.
