I'm Benny, and I'm thrilled to be your guide on an exciting learning journey. I have a master's degree in chemistry from University of Washington. My teaching journey began as a Volunteer Teaching Assistant at a high school, where I assisted in teaching math and science classes during college. During this time, I supported lead teachers in lesson delivery and classroom management, developed engaging instructional materials, and provided individualized support to students. This role laid the foundation for my commitment to helping students achieve their academic potential. I continued my teaching career as a Teaching Assistant at my university during grad school, where I assisted in teaching general chemistry, organic chemistry, and chemistry lab classes. I led discussion sections, supervised laboratory work, and conducted review sessions, ensuring students received comprehensive support in their studies. My collaboration with faculty members to enhance course materials and laboratory experiments further refined my skills in curriculum development and student engagement. Additionally, my experience as a Volunteer Mandarin Teacher at a local church has allowed me to develop tailored lesson plans and interactive activities for young learners. Teaching Mandarin has been particularly rewarding, as it not only involved language instruction but also cultural appreciation and understanding.
