I have taught composition, writing, ESOL, and ESP courses to students ranging from young learners to undergrads. I am committed to fostering a diverse environment where everyone feels included and respected. Although I have experienced the perils of being a multilingual speaker, I try to be intentional in my efforts to uphold student autonomy. These values are not only a part of my assignment sheets and grading rubrics, but they also guide my classroom discussions. A classroom, I believe, is an enabling space where students must feel heard, acknowledged, and valued.
