I am a graduate of Allegheny College (BA) and Sierra Nevada College (MAT). I received my Bachelor of Arts in Music and my Master of Arts in Teaching. I taught Kindergarten right after graduation and enjoyed successful careers in piano and organ sales and store management as well as real estate sales. I enjoy every aspect of math and love helping those who think they can't do math or aren't good at math. I love finding ways that math connects with real life and use a lot of hands on activities when appropriate. I believe in developing a lifetime learning mindset and always look for new things to learn. In my spare time, I enjoy exploring the parks in my area, cheering for my favorite hockey team, and choral singing. I believe that keeping my body healthy keeps my brain healthy so I make healthy eating and my CrossFit workouts a priority.

I enjoy self-development audio books. When I read fiction, I enjoy having a real book. I love the feel of turning pages and the ability to pause and imagine what I'm reading about. I play piano occasionally and seek opportunities for choral singing. I enjoy fishing, biking, and watching sunsets over the ocean. My biggest passion for the last 13 years has been regular CrossFit workouts which combine mobility and building strength.
