About Me

I am a certified high school chemistry teacher and graduate from the University of Pittsburgh. I received my Bachelor of Science in Natural Science with a minor in Chemistry from Pitt and later a teaching certification in Chemistry Education (grades 7-12) from Point Park University. With experience as both a high school science teacher (chemistry, physics, general science) and a university teaching assistant in organic chemistry, I am comfortable working with both students experienced in the sciences and new learners. I focus on tutoring Organic Chemistry, General/AP Chemistry, and Physics, and am very passionate about making these notoriously difficult subjects easier to understand for new students. My teaching philosophy is to build a strong foundation of fundamental chemistry and physics principles, then combine those principles to reach practical solutions to complex problems.
