About Me

I am an enthusiastic, patient, and experienced educator. I believe we can all find great joy in achieving a deep understanding of complex topics; I am here to help my students capture that joy. I care deeply about fostering the potential of all students. Tutoring is not just a job for me, but a passion. I have five years experience teaching and tutoring high school and college students. I tutored organic chemistry for three years in college, and I taught high school math for two years in Memphis. I love meeting students where they're at, and helping them to reach their goals. I studied chemistry and linguistics in college. My favorite subjects to tutor are chemistry, organic chemistry, Algebra 1, biology, essay writing, and ACT/SAT prep. I love helping students to discover their own problem-solving strategies in order to empower them as independent learners. In my free time I like to listen to music, go to concerts, play soccer, cook, hike, and read. I love having fun, and I try to make learning and studying into a game whenever possible.
