About Me

In my lifetime, the teachers who have truly done the extra mile for me have had a significant impact on my life. They helped me push myself to accomplish things that I did not think were possible. Thus, the classroom environment felt safe and comfortable for me to make mistakes and not feel embarrassed. In this way, I am passionate about helping students to provide them with a comfortable environment where they can enjoy learning. I have been very fortunate to have the opportunity to work and volunteer as an assistant teacher throughout my high school years. I graduated from Seisen International High School, located in Tokyo, Japan. I received both my high school diploma and IB diploma. I am currently an graduated student from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Biology. I tutor elementary, middle School, and High school level English, Math, and Science. I also tutor Kindergarten-level English, Math, and Reading. My teaching philosophy is to create a comfortable environment for the student to enjoy learning and not feel afraid to make mistakes. On the other hand, my tutoring style depends on the students best learning style however I like to implement visual aids and have practice problems to reinforce what is being learned. My interests outside of academia are volunteering, creative arts, and sports.
