Upon graduating, I taught 1st - 3rd grade in a private Christian school. After five years, I taught abroad for one school year in Kenya, Africa. This involved teaching all subject areas to four students in their home. Upon returning to the U.S., I taught for one school year as a high school English teacher at a different private Christian School. After having children of my own, I became a homeschool mom to my three children. I currently teach all subject areas to my middle and high school-aged children. I also teach English online to children learning English as a foreign language. My experiences include teaching in the classroom setting and also lots of one-on-one teaching, both in-person and online. I have taught all ages from Kindergarten through 12th grade. English, reading, and math are areas of my greatest interest since they lay the foundation for learning many other subjects. One of my lifelong goals is helping children move forward in their learning. I enjoy teaching children who are learning to speak English as a foreign language. I also enjoy helping children in academic areas gain a greater understanding of the content they are learning. There is no greater joy than seeing a child succeed!
