I graduated from Mercer University with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, and worked as an elementary school teacher for almost 20 years. I recognize that students learn in different ways and I use their strengths to guide them. During the academic year 2010-2011, my fellow teachers voted me Teacher of the Year for our school. I was honored with this award because of the high standards I set and achieved for my students and myself. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, walking, and fellowship with others.

My interests include spending time with family and friends. I also enjoy reading, playing games, and walking. These things keep me engaged and active.
