My undergrad studies include sociology, child development, and leadership. Since completing my undergrad studies, I have traveled abroad, published books, educated our four children at home, and launched successful business start-ups. I have coached business professionals as well as first-time entrepreneurs. While I teach a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about science, design, and writing. I have taught students at all grade levels. This includes helping struggling students overcome test anxiety, develop a growth mindset, and achieve measurable improvements in their academic pursuits. I also have experience working with students who learn differently. This also includes gifted and 2E students. Whether it is dysgraphia, dyscalculia or dyslexia, I love helping students discover tools that help them learn best. I strongly believe that it is necessary to be life long learners. Education empowers the learner and builds a foundation for their future. In my spare time, I invest in my own learning for the pleasure of it, enjoy yoga, bike riding with my kids, and all things creative.
