I am a graduate of The University of Rochester, where I acquired a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature, and Mercy college, where I earned a Master's of Urban Education and Policy. I have taught and tutored a broad spectrum of courses but prefer teaching Algebra and Writing. I am passionate about Writing because I enjoy it on a personal level. I enjoy teaching Algebra because as a student I struggled with the concepts and so I can empathize with students who don't understand. As a result, I've developed several different strategies to help explain Algebra to struggling students. I firmly believe that education provides a necessary foundation for life and that the relationship between the teacher and student is a key factor to learning. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, attending concerts, hiking, and spending time with family.
